FAQ

How long does it take to produce items not already in stock?
Items may not be kept in stock. When an item is not in stock then it is made to order. Production time can vary but most orders are completed within a week with many being completed in one or two days. Some orders placed in December may not be completed until mid January. Larger orders generally take longer than smaller ones. Please ask if you would like to know how long it will take to produce a particular item.

Why is freight outside of Auckland so expensive?
Most of the products are very large and can not be sent by courier. Freight companies generally charge a lot for a single delivery outside of Auckland ($150 to $250) because they may not deliver many items to your area. Freighting many items at once is usually a lot more cost effective. Products that are small enough to be sent by courier can be sent cost effectively.

Can your products be viewed anywhere?
This is a home based business and viewing can be arranged. Please contact us to arrange a time and we can advise wether the items you are interested in are in stock or not. We don't currently have a show room or retail premises.

Do your products come with a guarantee?
We don't have a formal guarantee. All products are covered for 1 year under the Consumer Guarantees Act. We will be happy to replace any product that has a manufacturing flaw or provide your money back. Our products are carefully designed and made so issues should be rare.

How long do they last?
A long time...It is impossible to say exactly how long a piece of outdoor furniture will last because it varies depending on exposure to the elements and the materials used in the construction. Treated pine generally lasts longer than macrocarpa. Stainless fasteners last longer than Galvanised.

Do I need to line my planter box?
It should last longer if it is lined. But it will last a long time without it. Macrocarpa products benefit more from being lined than treated pine products.

Can I paint or stain straight away?
Items made from kiln or air dried timber can be painted or stained straight away. Otherwise you may need to wait 3 to 4 weeks.
